Five decades ago, a pastor moved to south Florida to bein an institution of higher education, dedicated to the training of men and women to serve the Kingdom of God as pastors, missionaries, teachers, and musicians. The vision of Dr. Stephen Herron immediately saw fruition as students began moving to the sleepy town of Hobe Sound to further their education. Still others came to the campus, sacrificing secure jobs and ministry opportunities, to become the faculty and staff that would impact several generations of young people.
This project chronicles the details of their story, told in their own words. It includes interviews with more than a dozen of the students, faculty, and staff--like Connie Palm, Dorothy Herron, G.R. French, Archie Coons, Robert Whitaker, Joy Budensiek, Linda Deckard, and more. The interviews, pictures, and original footage all weave together to reveal The Hobe Sound Story.
